Disability Support Worker - positions Sydney Melbourne Brisbane

We are looking for Disability Support Workers to apply to join our team, as we have full-time and casual shifts available for those that wish to work in the following areas:


  • Central Coast
  • South-West Sydney
  • Greater-Western Sydney 
  • Wollongong
  • Melbourne 
  • Brisbane 


The primary purpose of the DSW role will be to provide support that enables participants to meet their daily needs and goals, including social, recreational and skill development programs. DSW will work either within a team context or 1:1 support to provide consistent, high quality services that meet identified needs and goals.


We are seeking to fill Disability Support Worker positions, to work any day of the week being Monday – Sunday which includes day work, nights and sleepovers. 

Experience and/or qualification within Disability, Youth or Mental Health is highly desirable. You will need to hold a current driver’s license, have a current and valid police check and current, valid working with children’s check and hold rights to work in Australia. You may be required to utilise your vehicle to transport participants.

Business Development Manager - Sydney & Brisbane

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager with knowledge of the NDIS or Disability sector to join a growing NDIS service provider in QLD.

Care Group NSW was established in 2019 and has since grown to provide a wide variety of NDIS services throughout Sydney, Melbourne and recently Brisbane and Gold Coast. We pride ourselves on delivering quality services to those in need, supporting our clients, their care givers and family.   


THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Managing Director some of your key accountabilities will include:

  • Building strong relationships within the Disability sector including hospitals, mental health departments, support coordinators and the NDIS in order to identify new clients and obtain referrals for SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) and SIL (Supported Independent Living)
  • Contacting potential referrals to arrange meetings to discuss options
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing to develop and execute communication and engagement strategies
  • Attending relevant expos, conferences and networking events to represent the business and services
  • Proactively nurturing leads in the pipeline and maintain meaningful engagement throughout the customer journey
  • Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the NDIS price guide and Specialist Disability Accommodation framework


THE CANDIDATE:

To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience within a similar position – you’re a natural people person and have the enviable mix of sales and likeability. You enjoy working with clients to deliver an exceptional sales experience. It’s not just about being transactional. You really enjoy what you do.
  • Exceptional communication skills – you’re a natural communicator. You show empathy and understand how tricky it can be for clients as they navigate their way through their plans.
  • A current NDIS Worker Check and Working with Children check (or a willingness to obtain)
  • Previous experience in the Disability sector – essential. This role is based on building relationships with industry contacts as well as clients, families and carers looking for services (respite accommodation, supported independent living, lifestyle options and therapy)
  • A Covid vaccination certificate is also required for this position
