At Care Group Community Services, we provide Supported Independent Living (SIL) services and help participants explore Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) opportunities, including Robust SDA homes. Our experienced teams work alongside participants, families, guardians and Support Coordinators to understand individual needs and explore suitable living arrangements.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living provides assistance with everyday tasks for eligible NDIS participants who require support at home. Depending on individual needs and approved funding, SIL support may include:
- Personal care and daily routines
- Meal preparation
- Household activities
- Developing independent living skills
- Support with everyday activities
- Assistance with maintaining routines
We work with participants and their support networks to develop suitable support arrangements.

Robust SDA is a specialist housing design category intended for eligible NDIS participants with particular disability-related housing needs. We can help participants and their support networks explore Robust SDA accommodation opportunities and discuss appropriate living and support arrangements. What's the difference between SIL and SDA?
Supported Independent Living (SIL) relates to eligible assistance with daily living tasks.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) relates to eligible specialist housing for participants with particular disability-related housing needs.
SIL and SDA are funded separately through the NDIS. Eligibility for one does not automatically mean eligibility for the other.
